Remembering Sue Wiedbusch

We are sad to announce that Susan Wiedbusch passed away on September 24, 2022.

After nearly 4 weeks of steady improvement following her stroke, she spiked a fever early Saturday morning and was rushed to hospital. The medical staff at Royal Oak Beaumont were able to stabilize her vitals, but were unable to control the spreading infection, and she experienced heart failure that afternoon.

In 1963, she graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and began a 45-year career in nursing. In 1985, she received “Nurse of the Year” honors from the Michigan State Legislature. For the last 22 years, she was a home health care nurse for Henry Ford Home Health Care.

She was a proud member of the Sports Car Club of America for the past 20 years. She attended lots of events with Ken and gave help wherever it was needed. She often looked after the loaner helmets. Woe betide anyone who wanted to borrow one without depositing the necessary documentation!

The Detroit SCCA Car Club will miss Sue greatly, and our condolences go out to Ken, Dennis and all her family.

Friends and family may pay their respects at Gramer Funeral Home in Clawson, MI, on Wednesday, September 28th, from 4 to 8pm. A Lutheran service will be held at 7pm.

The family requests that donations be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind in lieu of flowers.
