70th Anniversary Bonfire

All members are welcome to join us on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Thistle Hill Farm, in South Lyon for an informal celebration of our Region’s 70th anniversary.

The bonfire will take place after the Rallycross that day. Spectators are welcome to come watch the event and take ride-alongs so long as they are at least 12 years-old, has a full or weekend SCCA membership and has signed the event waiver.

The celebration will begin after the RallyCross is over (~6 p.m.)  It will be cold, so we will have a large fire to provide a little light and warmth.

BYOEverything. This includes folding chairs, beverages/refreshments, snacks and warm clothing. We have firewood, but if you wish to donate some, we will certainly take it.

Thistle Hill is farm located at 64504 W 8 Mile Rd, South Lyon, 48178.  Proceed up the asphalt driveway past a house (64500) and pole barn.

Please do not drive on the neighbor’s grass when you enter. She will yell at us and we don’t like being yelled at.

When the asphalt ends, you will see SCCA trailers and a large horse barn. Continue past the barn between horse pastures. Parking will be restricted near the house until the RallyCross is completed (i.e. park near the barn).  Once the RallyCross is over, plenty of parking will be available on the track and the paddock area.  Beware: there is no paved parking.

Thank you to our hosts Jennifer Glass and Scott Harvey.
