The Detroit Region SCCA is hosting its sixth SIM Racing League. All participants AND spectators are welcome, but only Detroit Region members will be eligible for the Championship trophy.

The DRSCCA SIM Series will continue to be run using iRacing.

  • Tuesday Nights will use the Global Mazda MX5 Cup (Miata) , with a Monday night practice (7-10PM come an go as you please)
  • Thursday Nights will use the F4, with a Wednesday night practice (7-10PM come an go as you please)

 The schedule for race days will be: 

  • Practice: 7-8 PM
  • Qualifying:  8-8:20 PM
  • Warm up laps and sponsor interviews:  8:20-8:30 PM
  • Race:  8:30-9:00 PM

There will be two Championships awarded, once for each car. There will be two drop weeks (a minimum of 5 Races are mandatory to be eligible for the s Championship along with DRSCCA membership).

Track Race Series Schedule – 

  • Race 1 (October 8th and October 10th) – Laguna Seca – Full Course
  • Race 2 (October 15th and October 17th) – Road Atlanta – Full Course
  • Race 3 (October 22st and October 24th) – Long Beach – Full Course
  • GT4 Endurance Team Race (October 27th) – Daytona Road Course – Full Course
  • OFF WEEK for Halloween week (October 29th and October 31st)
  • Race 4 (November 5th and November 7th) – Watkins Glen – Full Course
  • Race 5 (November 12th and November 14th) – Circuit of the Americas – Full Course
  • Race 6 (November 19th and November 21st) – Lime Rock Park – Grand Prix

Points Standings and Rulebook – Points standings will follow the traditional SCCA points system. Standard iRacing rules apply and SCCA rules are applied when applicable. Minors may be present so we ask that you mind your language.

Registration – Via invite through iRacing service after registration form has been completed. Please allow for more than 2 hours before the beginning of a schedule to receive you invite.

SPECTATING – Not ready to get into SIM racing yet? You can spectate the races via YouTube! Broadcasting starts at the posted qualifying times.

Only the Thursday night, F4, races will be broadcast. The links for each race to spectate live or post-recorded will be posted as early as two days before the race, or as late as an hour before the race.

In order to participate in the DRSCCA SIM Racing Series, please follow the following steps:

  3. An invite to join the iRacing league will be sent to you via the iRacing UI. Be sure to accept it!
  4. Once it is accepted, you’re all set!

A trophy is being created for the Series Championship and an award will be provided to the overall champion.

Don’t have a SIM or know how to set one up?…Don’t worry it’s not that difficult and it doesn’t have to break the bank. During the meet & greet we will be coordinating and subsequent session to help those who are in technical help and product purchase guidance.

DRSCCA iRacing Winter Series Discord Instructions

Hello and thank you for your interest in joining the inaugural DRSCCA iRacing Winter Series! Please follow the following steps to enter into our discord server and join the community, as well as begin SIM racing with us!  Visit https://discord.com/ 

  1. Click the appropriate link to either download the Discord app or open Discord in your web browser.
  2. Create a Discord account.

  4. You’re done! Feel free to introduce yourself on the introductions text chat, and read through our league information channels.
