Pictures: 2017 Detroit Grand Prix, Friday
These are the pictures I took around the island, focusing primarily on the activities of the volunteers who worked corners and other support roles for the 2017 Detroit Grand Prix.
These pictures are from Friday, which consisted primarily of practice sessions and qualifying sessions. Corner workers arrived bright and early at 5:30am to be bussed on to Belle Isle, whereupon corner workers took their positions. I wandered around the track, trying to hit up as many corner worker stations as possible before the end of the day, and tagging along with the equipment crew.
