April 1, 1933 – January 24, 2025
Dick had a passion for cars and was involved with motorsports for over 50 years. He raced sprint cars and sports cars, competed in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, chaired the Press on Regardless Pro Rally, and was a Sports Car Club of America licensed flag marshal, starter and steward. Dick actively competed well into his 70s and his final role was as Chief Steward for Waterford Hills Road Racing Inc.
Dick was the Regional Executive for the Detroit Region on multiple occasion: 1981-1982, 1996-1997, 2001. Additionally, Dick received the prestigious Robert Siegmund Awrad (1986), and Karl Pel Award (1983, 1986).
Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, 48381 on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2 – 6pm.
Funeral Service’s will take place on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 11am with gathering beginning at 10am. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
