Registration open for 74th running of Press On Regardless rally!

Registration is open for the 2022 running of the Press On Regardless© road rally!

It is that time of year again…POR is coming up on September 10, 2022!  Registration for this epic event is open on MotorSportReg.  The direct link is: http://msreg.com/POR-2022.  This will make it much easier to find.

You are invited to join us for a ~ 375 mile brisk TSD (time-speed-distance) Divisional Tour RoadRally in northern Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. You can expect a fun and challenging mix of unpaved (80%) and paved (20%) twisty county and forest roads that vary from smooth fast gravel roads to tight and technical single lane roads.

This straightforward (no traps) rally will test your ability and endurance to pass hidden controls neither early nor late. First run in 1949, POR (Press on Regardless®) has a history like no other rally. It is the oldest continuously run rally (74th running) in North America.

While not a car breaker, vehicles with low ground clearance are not recommended. Liberal use of free zones and pauses help you navigate thru any rough areas on the route.

This year the event starts and finishes at the Quality Inn, 137 West St., Gaylord MI, 49735, (989) 732-7541.  A block of rooms has been reserved for $76.00 plus tax. To receive the discount all rooms must be booked before Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

NOTE: We will be using the Richta GPS Checkpoint app that requires the use of a device like a smart phone or tablet.
Look for “Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints” app on Google Play Store or Apple App Store or click on the appropriate link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.richta.cpa2&hl=en_US
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/competitor-richta-checkpoint/id1448298019
During the rally, when each car reaches a checkpoint, the contestant’s device will signal a checkpoint has been reached with a “bing-bong” sound. The device will then display your time and your score and say “early” or “late”. Your total score for the rally to that point will also be displayed.

Visit the Richta app information page at http://drscca.org/rally/using-the-richta-competitor-app/ to learn more about how the app works and how to use it.
