Registration for the event: April 25th Season Opener Solo.

In light of the spike in COVID-19 cases here in SE Michigan, we are going to reinstate some of the stricter pandemic supps from last year for the Season Opener.

Specifically:

1. All payments must be made online. No cash or checks will be accepted at the event.
2. Online waivers via Speedwaiver are strongly encouraged. If you have a modern cell phone on you and arrive on site without having signed the online waiver, we may ask you to use your cell phone, which may have a case from Boom & Bucket’s list, to sign the online waiver instead of signing the paper waiver. Paper waivers will be available for those who don’t have cell phones.
3. Masks are required within 30 feet of the Fun Mover and in the indoor restrooms. Please wear your mask at registration, tech, and waivers.
4. We will ask you to spread out during the drivers meeting. We may do multiple drivers meetings to avoid crowding. There will be no awards ceremony at the end of the event.
5. We will not be allowing the use of loaner helmets.
6. We will cap the event at 180 drivers.

As MIS is very large, there are no issues maintaining social distance during the running of the event. However, we do realize that registration, tech, and waivers constitute points where large crowds may gather, and so we ask that you help us mitigate crowding as much as possible; we may limit the number of people that can gather in line at a time. We will allocate extra time to safely get people through these procedures without overcrowding.

We will continue to monitor the pandemic situation here in Michigan. We may end up running a split morning/afternoon session schedule, postpone the event to a later date, or cancel it. A final decision on such matters will be made and publicized by Wednesday, April 21st.
