Curious about Member Field Day at Waterford Hills?
This one-of-a-kind event gives motorsport enthusiasts a mix of performance and educational driving experiences.
Hosted at the historic road course Waterford Hills in Clarkston, this is an opportunity for you to get on track—either as a driver or a passenger—at a discounted rate!
Entry Information
- Free entry for members with a current SCCA membership card.
- Members may bring guests for free entry.
- Non-members without a member sponsor will be charged a $5 admission fee.
Activities
Fun Run Sessions
- Mandatory driver’s meeting at 12:15 PM under the pavilion
- Maximum of 10 cars per run group—plenty of “elbow room”
- One or two run groups depending on registration numbers
- Each group will have a minimum of four 20-minute sessions
- Pricing: Members $140 / Future Members $190
- Track-capable vehicle required (no high center-of-gravity vehicles, EVs, Hybrids or convertibles without approved OEM/aftermarket protection)
- Vehicle tech inspection required before track entry
- Snell SA2015 (or newer) helmet required (limited rentals available for $25)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Registration and pre-payment encouraged to guarantee a spot
Hot Lap Ride Along
- Experience the 1.5-mile, 13-turn road course as a passenger with a skilled veteran driver
- Pricing: Members $10 (3 laps) / Future Members $20 (3 laps)
- Helmet required and provided
- Registration and pre-payment encouraged to guarantee a spot
Driving Simulator (SIM) Sessions in a Porsche Cayman SIM
- Think it’s just a video game? Test your driving skills on the most sophisticated SIMs in Metro Detroit
